Such changeable weather at the moment... We've gone from Midsummer sunshine to a funny mix of sunny, cool, windy, and fitful.

I prefer the cooler weather at the moment (being confined in a cast is like wearing a big, furry glove). But by the same token, I'm not keen on rain. I have to keep the thing dry, and rain, as we know, does have this habit of getting everywhere.

Whatever the weather, it's always spectacularly beautiful round here.

We just can't stop taking photos of poppies:

And the beach always throws up something interesting to snap.

These were all taken at the weekend at various points along the beach between Cromer and Trimingham:

Particularly photogenic, as we found a few months ago, are the weathered sea defences:

We still walk bright and early, and avoid the town as much as possible, so I've no idea how busy it has been getting in recent weeks.

But of course things are rapidly changing. If all the caravan sites round here start to fill up after 4 July (there are LOTS), our little world will start to look very different.

But then we're due to leave next week anyway...

I'm looking forward to getting one step nearer home, but I'll miss Norfolk's poppies and beaches.
