Since August we've spent a very large proportion of our time in Kuching.

If you've got to spend a very large proportion of your time in any one place (never my preference, but hey, we are in extraordinary times), then this is a very, very pleasant locality in which to undergo that imposition.

Yes, I complain at times about the dogs, and the slipperiness of the pavements, and the instability of the grocery supply. But the vast majority of the time, I'm very grateful for this city.
