We seem to do a trip to Buntal once a year. And now, thanks to our association with the Malaysian Nature Society, we're even more aware of the area's importance for migratory birds.

Today we drove out before daybreak. It was pretty wet when we set out, but it had cleared up nicely by the time we got there. We ate our breakfast in the car (cheesebread and rambutans...), and once there was some light in the sky, we did our usual lap of the walkway:






We took the car back for 10.00, as arranged.

So, there we are. Another road trip has moved into the past tense. Given the immanence of the rainy season, there probably won't be another until we get back from Europe next year. Happy memories, though.
