The Kuching food scene is awash with good-quality food outlets at all price levels. We're currently taking full advantage of that, eating out a lot, both on our own and with friends:
Green onion pancake from Borneo Coffee
Wanton mee from a stall at Tai Pan on Jalan Padungan (forgot to photograph it before I'd enthusiastically consumed most of the wantons...) The noodles are coated in something delicious, and the whole thing was very flavoursome
Always nice to go to Zoro again, this time with friends
Never pass up an opportunity to have avo
We even caught a lion dance while we were there
Another friend introduced us to this place, which offers nice food (forgot to photograph my char kuay teow, but it was very tasty), and a lovely, plant-filled ambiance
And finally, here's another reason to go to Green Heights (to add to the always interesting Wonderboom, Mady's Organic, and the Supermarket That Sells Bacon). This was our landlady's tip, and we are so going to be visiting again
They have a fabulous range of pastries
The almond croissants were awesome. The coffee is good, and it's served -- very Proustian this -- with a tiny madeleine...
We're very, very spoilt in this area of life, and I'm duly grateful.
