I've mentioned already that the location of Rose Cottage offers plenty of opportunities for car-free walks. Today we did the Peel loop again.
This time we called in at Holy Trinity Kirk Patrick. It's a very pretty little church, and its graveyard hosts a few of my long-gone rellies:
Then on, via the river, to Peel harbour and beach:
I have been struck down by a godawful cold (my first since before the pandemic). So I've preferred to be out in the open today, away from potential recipients of my germs. But it was warm enough, and I felt plenty well enough, to enjoy a kipper bap by the harbour, and a Davison's ice cream on the prom.
We walked home by the old railway line and the field path. There are still blackberries to pick on the way...
