We start with some reminders that Kuching is incredibly green and rural in some areas:

Well, Ramadan continues:
And early in the week we became aware that another celebration was afoot. The flags were going up at the Hong San Si Temple on Wayang Street:
And there was suddenly a new dragon in town. We think he's destined to be a fire dragon, but I'll report back on that later...
Today there was a lion mega-spectacular, as part of the Seng Ong Deity birthday festivities, but that's going to get a post of its own.
Food continues. Of course. It's Kuching after all:
Awesome breakfast from Wan Xiang. We used to order from them during lockdown, but this was our first in-person visit. Everything -- pork balls, broth, noodles, char siew -- delicious
We finally tried out Zus, another new chain that arrived while we were away. Nice coffee. This one is at Aeon, where we spent one impossibly rainy afternoon
