Ripley is twinned with Chateau-Renault in France, and this is a 12th-century stone from the castle dungeon... Nicely Gothic
It follows that yesterday was also the most perfect day for the wedding we were attending. A beautifully simple ceremony, and a convivial and tasty meal at Sylhet Spice. Heartiest good wishes to the bridal couple.
Today, as a final fling, we'd booked in for breakfast at Eat at Denby's, just south of Denby Pottery. Highly recommendable:
