As I've already observed, the rainy season is upon us. My umbrella has been so over-used in recent days that it's now on its absolute last legs, and urgently needs to be replaced.

What it also is, of course, is the Christmas season.

The Padungan Cat has donned his Christmas outfit, and the supermarkets are starting to pile things high:



So many festivities coming up: the winter solstice, our engagement anniversary, Christmas...

'Tis the season to be jolly -- and the season to research low-carb Christmas recipes (to date I've found most of them wholly incommensurate with our shopping possibilities), and wonder how easy it will be to commandeer a roast duck for the festive table...
