Another long
gap in the diary. We're still a little flat. And there have been a lot of jobs to get through, none of them particularly blog-worthy.
I hope normal service will be resumed next month...
Still, here's Kuching, always photogenic:
Cuddly durian, all ready for grabbing
And here's the F&B diary for the last little while:
Indah's scrumptious carrot cake
Yia. Nigel's study in ochre
Moon and Sun. A very pleasant combo of cold black coffee and a salty, creamy top
This cornucopia is just our local supermarket
Kantin. Radish cake (cai tao kuih). The squid is always good there, and we tried the barbecued lamb this time too (nice)
A teeny bit of tuak rounded it all off nicely
Nigel, and Nam Joo's beautifully spicy popcorn chicken
Breakfast with our landlord and landlady. Really excellent ding bian hu. The stall-owner brings the dried lily flowers all the way from Sibu, because you can't get them here...
These joined-up dumplings were good too
Ah, Kuching... Whatever's going on in our lives, we can never complain about the food...
