I haven't done one of these since mid-January (because of the limitations of the CMCO, needless to say).
Any little heritage observations have just been rolled into the weekly Gazette (mainly to do with the murals and signs that appeared on Carpenter Street as part of the Kuching Old Bazaar project).
But two things merit a mention this week.
Firstly, the project book has come out, and we bought our copy on Monday. I've not finished reading it yet, but it's a fund of interesting stories and illustrations. What a rich area this is...
Secondly, the old museum and adjoining former aquarium have emerged from their restoration wraps, enabling a much better view of this lovely complex than was possible last September.
Who knows -- maybe one day, many months hence, we'll actually be allowed to visit...
