So we're out and about again, after isolating for a week as a result of our second brush with
covid.
The coughs are slowly improving, which is a relief (for the first time for ages, we had breakfast on the balcony this morning, as there's now less risk of sudden attacks of barking). We're still a little tired, and lacking our customary energy, but we've resumed our usual round of walking and eating:
Our first day of freedom happened to be Sarawak Day
Spectacular sunrise on Sunday
The New Happy Cafe, part of our tireless quest to visit all the eateries in Kuching (it will never be possible)
This is pao fan (literally "submerged rice"). A veritable bowl of deliciousness... Chicken, egg, meatballs, tons of veges, rice, and a broth that was redolent of rice wine
Qiao Zhong, another kopitiam we tried for the first time this week. Ah Yu's laksa is excellent...
